My first U2 show, although I'm a long time fan. I went to Vienna with my brother and two friends, one of them is fanatic like I am, the other one is not. This wasn't their first gig and my brother and I were both U2 virgins. First opening acts, The Magic Numbers and The Thrills were great, it's not easy to play opening act for U2, so they did a good job. We were right across the stage, and what can I say, the stage was great, the lightnings were amazing, the set list great. Like others I have my favorite U2songs, but at least 20 U2 songs are my favorites, so whatever they play I'm pleased. The whole show was a hightlight for me, Bono's voice was great, Edge gave just another etraordinary performance (he's the best), Larry druming at LAPOE was great, Adam was great, smiling and walking around. I was jumping and singing throught the whole show, my arms were in the air the whole time. We had a little space between our seats and seats in front of us, but it didn't stop me, I was just led by music and atmosphere, so I jumped and jumped and I even hit the guy siting in front of me and he turned to me and warned me, but I just didn't care. Common' you are at U2 concert and you seat the whole time, whey are you here (he was with his daughter, probably to control her), there are many people who wanted to be a part of the show but they just did't get the tickets. The atmosphere around us was pretty lousy, except some german people who were next to us, and they were wilde like 3 of us. My friend and I were the only people in our section who were singing Running to stand still and some other songs, and we sang them loud. That was the best day of my life, defenetly, I was a part of U2, guys just know how to connect with their audience, you really feel that they're singing just for you. Bono, you really gave yourself away in Vienna (like you always do), Edge, Adam and Larry too, after the Live 8 in London, it was not easy to play one more gig and they played it like it was the only one. I'm still under U2 spell, and luckily that was not the only gig on tour for me, we are going to Berlin, I can't wait to see them again, and this time we have G.A. tickets, great. And of course, I lost my voice, hope it will return to me for Berlin. Thank you guys, you rock my world.
