Howie B opened, followed by Placebo & U2 hit the stage at about 9.30pm. It was a hot night in Lisbon & U2 were up for it. I was at the stadium for about midday & heard the soundcheck from outside. It was done by the roadcrew - U2 flew in for the show &straight out afterwards. I saw them at Wembley England in August & this was a much better show. The band seemed more relaxed & happy, although at one point Bono got very agitated as somebody in the crowd kept shining a red light in his eyes.
