I was at the show, and like the previous reviewers here, also thought Bono thanked the Lumineers instead of One Republic.  My friends and I were aghast.  However, after re-listening to clips on youtube, here is what Bono actually said:

"Thanks to the Lumineers, replaced this evening by One Republic!"

Still a bit awkward (why even mention the Lumineers?), but not the gaff we feared it to be.
