This was the third show that I'd seen on the tour and it was amazing!! The energy was really high. I thought that the young guy next to me (who had never seen U2 live before) was going to hurt himself, he was singing and dancing with abandon!!
The run of 'Bad/40, Streets and Pride' was magnificent. And the sing-a-long to Van Morrison's 'Gloria' was alot of fun. The mistake(s) in 'Kite' and Bono's obvious dismay was amusing to see- the crowd loved it anyway!
Bono thanked the Albany audience again (at Hartford also) for helping him through the concert- this was really touching for those of us in the audience yesterday to know how much he appreciated us.
Did anyone hear Bono's Harvard's Class of 2001 Class Day speech? It was classical Bono- a well constructed mix of 'deadly serious' issues, good word-smithing, teasing of other high-profile people and self-deprecating humor. He now has a well-deserved honorary diploma!!
Great Boston U2 experience captured on tape. U2, please come back to Boston on the third leg of the tour!!
