This was my second time seeing U2, first on this tour. I doubt anything could ever top the first time I saw them, in Providence on the Elevation Tour. However, that is not to say that this show wasn't great. First of all, the stage set up/lighting was literally the coolest thing I have ever seen. Having been in the heart in Providence I didn't get the perspective which I had this time around-- bird's eye view, haha! But, it was worth it-- the visual spectacle was just amazing. As for the band- a solid show. The highlight for me was "Running to Stand Still," beautiful. Also-- the new songs mostly sounded great-- loved "City of Blinding Lights." There were a few passable choices though, noticeably "Mysterious Ways," which was pretty awful. Other than that it was an excellent show, I had a great time, but felt a bit like the crowd was just going to love the show no matter what-- which is all well and good, but not entirely sure if the effusiveness was just slightly more than what was deserved. Again, great show, but Elevation was better musically... the set alone is worth the price of going to this one though. And, no matter what, there is still that electricity at the beginning of the show-- I almost cried at the start, which is why U2 shows will always be worth going to.
