Agree with the rest of you guys for the most part. Back from last night's 1st Boston show (26th for me) and it was not the bands A game. Sound WAS very muddy at first, thought they got it corrected maybe 30 minutes in (same thing happens at most shows). Liked the new versions of Elevation and Beautiful Day, different from Elevation tour. New songs were very nice, was curious about Miracle Drug, since many have disliked it this tour, but I thought it was great (love Edge singing his verse). Not much interaction with the audience at all, no one on stage, no playing to the fans behind (usually much more), Adam only came out once or twice, Edge also. Audience was high energy but not even close to the usual Boston audience. Don't like this version of Bullet or Streets. House lights coming on during streets (you know the part) was always a highlight and is missing on this tour. Agree that Mysterious Ways was flat. Didn't like the beady lights thing, cross between PopMart screen and Elevation curtains.....
Highlights:
One is spectacular, the lighter bit HAS to be seen, can not be described. New songs excellent, Yahweh very nice acoustically. Love and Peace great live, love the segue into SBS. Running to Stand still excellent, Alellulia chorus continues. Nice to see 40 again (first for me since 87). Electric Co. wonderful. All Because of You very, very good with Bono on tamborine. Liked to see larry more involved in everything and smiling more than he ever has.
All in all, good show, not great, wish I could be there Saturday for the close, will see you guys in October and December.
