Was wondering if the boys would have anything unique in store for the Good Friday gig in Vancouver. It came in the second encore. They broke into the opening of Wake Up Dead Man before seguing into Walk On.
--
Jesus, Jesus help me
I'm alone in this world
and a fucked up world it is too
tell me, tell me the story
the one about eternity
and the way it's all gonna be
WAKE UP WAKE UP DEAD MAN
WAKE UP WAKE UP DEAD MAN
--
It was beautiful -- Cries of the devoted -- Disillusioned at the death of Christ -- Wondering how the hell God would make sense of all they had seen and been through -- Not expecting what was to come.
Then they ripped into Walk On -- which, you have to admit, is a resurrection song.
And that, I think, is the heart of what got me -- here are a few fellows who know what it means to die and be resurrected.
I can't wait to see what they do for the Easter show in Portland.
