Pheonix-I, April 14th. Took my wife to the show for her first U2 experience. We had GA, everyone in front of us got in the love ring, not us. We held are own near the drum set on the walk. We were dead center of the aircraft hanger. What a plac for a show, I liked the sound better than In Seattle at the second show. We loved the Pope story, and the rosary hanging on the pedastal at the end of "40". Some jerk threw a bottle at the rosary, and I suspect ended this part of future gigs. We can't talk about the old pappa now, he is gone.
The keys to this show were the crowd signing every song, the sound, the Electric Co., and Adam's teeth.
Adam prowld by us and he was smilling all the time at the cell cameras. My wife yells in my ear," what is wrong with him". I took me a minute, then I realized he is a millionaire who got his braces off, and has a nice white rack now!
Electric Co. was awesome, I closed my eyes and imagined I was in Seattle's Paramount Theatre in 1983 again! I loved bono's mic-stand on Edge's guitar strings. Great Photo!
The Sound was awesome, lots of girls in Pheonix, like Vancouver!
