Great memories from the Hoosier Dome concert. The venue was perfect for U2's Joshua Tree production. I agree that this is a show that should have some form of an appearace in Rattle & Hum. New Years Day maybe? My recollection regarding the opening support incident is similar to a couple of other reviews here. A gentleman approached the mic announcing that U2 were running late, blaming a flight conflict as the reason. Boos slowly errupted and attendees around us were visibly short on patience. To fill in the gap, they give us the twang sounds of the Dalton Brothers. This was after the two scheduled bands had already performed (The BoDeans and Los Lobos). Why resort to a "local" country/western band first if Los Lobos hadn't already played? It would defeat the purpose of the prank delivered by U2. Gotta love the humor of the Irish.
