What a GREAT show!!! Much better than the Chicago gig. Me and my mother had seats in the front row on The Edge's side of the stage and saw Dallas and some laptop guy looking at porn. lol.
Larry is unbelievable!! He's great, to see him play live is amazing! Original of the Species, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Until the End of the World, and Instant Karma all had awesome drum solos. The Edge is unbelievable, he is very raw, and shined all of the time!! The Edge is the best guitarist EVER! We didn't see Adam too much, but he was great. Bono...Bono...what am I to say? OH MY LORD!! He added the "fade away" ending from Bad onto the end of Until the End of the World, and the begining of In a Little While was included on the ending of I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. A few of the best parts of the gig were Bono singing Luciano's operatic part in Miss. Sarajevo (oh my goodness!), and Bono being able to hold the "singggggg!!!" for an extra long time in Sometimes You Can't Make it On You Own. U2's performance of Sunday Bloody Sunday was powerful. Larry's driving drums, Edge's raw sound, and Bono's heart "A simple beautiful thought written on a wall in the midwest...coexist...have it tattooed on my head and heart...Jesus, Jew, Mohammed, it's true". And a little boy whose name was Tristan or Christian came on the stage and started the "NO MORE!" chant.
At the end of the gig, Bono gave his tambourine to a different boy in the ellipse. My first gig and THE best! OH WOW! I cannot wait to see them again!
