I have been a fan of U2 ever since I saw the video for Gloria on MTV. This concert moved me!It is the first time I have seen U2 live. I sat in section 315 which is upper level behind the stage. Great seats! You can see the whole stage, which is right at your feet. And of course, whenever Bono turned to face the back of the stage the crowd went wild. The stage is very simple, but the lighting effects are great.
PJ Harvey walked on stage at exactly 7:30pm and U2 came on at 9:00pm. They played for a little over 2 hours. For me the highlight of the concert was the opening song - Elevation (it really rocked), and Sunday Bloody Sunday. I thought Bono connected with the crowd and his voice was strong and right on.
This show had me on my feet right from the opening song. What really stuck with me was when Bono thanked the audience for paying out their hard earned money for tickets and for giving them a wonderful life.
