I have seen this band on every tour since 1984 and the Philly show was one of my favorites of all time. They were so full of energy from start to finish and they appeared to be into every song with passion. Bono looked 20 pounds lighter and full of energy getting the crowd into it. I guess the back is better.
The night was about the music, the four of them looked like they were having so much fun on stage. The touching moment for me was Aung San Suu Kyi's personal message to U2 fans, yet she stated there are still thousands locked up in her country and the work has just started.
Even singin a snip of Rejoice from October linked the past and present of the band. I hope they do more of that.
To be honest, I was a little disappointed on the first US leg show 19 months ago but this show blew me away. We were behind the stage and Bono and The Edge spent so much time back there it was a total 360 experience.
