What U2 do is without any doubt up there with being a great rock and roll band. Last night in Baltimore impressive would be an understatement from the creation of the 360 degree stage to the perfect sound.
The first 5 songs were quite sublime. Pure rock and roll from a band who really were into it. After that i felt they lost the crowd a bit coming in and out with great moments.
It looked a like the band were going through the motions a bit with songs like pride and sunday bloody sunday.
It seemed when the band got hold of being essentially a rock and roll band you sensed how together they were and how good they were feeling.
Is it about the show or the songs. Is it what artists struggle with in giving a greatist hits performance. Tough one to call for the band to get right no doubt.
