Went to Chicago June 25 2015 show. That was very good, but, this show was better.
In NYC for a family vacation and scored MSG night 2 tickets. Bono's voice better (rumors of bronchitis in Chicago). Overall sound: as loud as Chicago, but clearer, no distortion. Setlists varied in rotation slots (5 different songs from Chicago if including the intermission song) and set order varied as songs moved between main set and encore. Made the experience of not seeing the same show twice. Although, it would not have been dissappointing to hear Out of Control again.
Crowd in Chicago was good, but, NYC was really lively and the band fed off it. This is what took it back to the feeling of '85 and Unforgettable Fire tour in hometown Detroit (March 23, 1985). Really nice to hear October with my daughter (it is one of her favorites). The transition from Beautiful Day into Bad with Moment of Surrender snippets on both ends is excellent. While Bullet is strong and powerful, the bullhorn vocal portion can be a bit annoying. Another real highlight was Stuck In A Moment. Pride and I Still Haven't Found were really strong too.
Glad I could share the U2 experience with my family. While the old songs are great and the catalog very, very deep; they are certainly not on a greatest hits tour. Glad for that too. Keep it up boys.
