This show was awesome from the first moment. The house lights were still on when the band took the stage and it was not clear that the show was actually starting - very cool! The band was halfway through Elevation when the lights dimmed but the electricity in the crowd was already cranked to the maximum by then. The highlight of the show had to be when the band walked down to the bottom of the heart and played Desire and Gloria - it definitely seemed like they were harkening back to their earlier days - such as at the Bayou in DC which Bono mentioned. I disagree with the other reviewers about the Heston clip - the people in my section seemed to totally understand the message and many were booing or gesturing at Heston's image. The bit at the end of "Bullet" about America killing itself was very powerful and was well placed during the first encore when the audience's enthusiasm was nearing its peak. The two most missed songs had to be "All I Want Is You" and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" - I'll be there again tonight so I really hope to hear them. Bottom line: U2 is still at the top of their game...!
