Wow - where do I start? I was lucky enough to make it into the ellipse, and in the third row. We were right in front of Adam, to the right of Bono. That was absolutely amazing, of course, and the energy was great. I was glad they played a lot of their older songs - I Will Follow, 40, Sunday Bloody Sunday (Bono said, "This is your song now, America," referring to Hurricane Katrina I'm sure.), Pride, Still Haven't Found, With or Without You (I'm sure I'm missing one or two). For me, the highlight of the evening was Miss Sarajevo, when Bono (successfully) tried Pavarotti's part in the bridge of the song. I, and other die-hard fans, knew what he was doing as soon as the song started, and I was just so excited. Hearing him hit those notes was amazing - gave me chills. Also so fun to be able to look right up at Adam and have him smile at us. While we missed most of the lights and theatrics by being so close, I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. An unforgettable evening!
