Another good outing, but the sound was the worst I'd ever experienced at a U2 show (and I go way back). I'd heard the sound was problematic in L.A...seems like it followed them to Oakland.
Miss Sarajevo was stellar. Moving. And Bono's cover of Pavarotti's part was killer.
City of Blinding Lights was terrific. What a great opener. I think this should be the opening song for indoor arenas and Where the Streets Have No Name should be used in outdoor stadiums.
I Will Follow and Gloria promised heart and soul, but I think the bottom line on last night's show was...the band has heart, to be sure, but the concert lacked some of the spiritual feeling/energy we've witnessed in past shows/tours. Overall, though, a wonderful night.
