We, me and my boyfriend Brian, arrived at the stadium around 6 o'clock thanks to the help of four strangers. To my amazement a little crowd had begun to form. We bought our shirts then went to find our seats. 19A 34&35 I think for a taller person these seats would have been great.
Fun Lovin Criminals opened promptly at 8 o'clock. I had never heard them before but I think they did a good job. Scooby Snacks must be a popular song for them. When it was preformed the crowd kinda got into it. FLC played for 30 minutes or so. Then some DJed music played for another 30 minutes or so. By this time the place was packed.
At 9:30 U2 arrived. It was like a dream. They entered from the right side of the stage. At this time I realized I had a bad view of the screen. The big yellow arch covered half of the center view. With all the people in front of me I could hardly see U2 entering and the screen was no help at all to me either.
The lights were great. The arch, I grew to hate more as the night went on. Bono is always the center of attention so if you want to see any other member I recommend you sit real close to the stage. I feel as if the girl who went up on stage was planned. She was just too damn calm.
A big hilite for me was when The Edge sang Daydream Beliver with the crowd. He has a wonderful voice. When Bono led us in Stand By Me, I think we needed words then too! Everyone just went blank at the same time.
When the lemon starts moving it's magical. Very nicely done. I just wonder why the song Lemon was not performed.
Overall I enjoyed the show. My feet hurt the next day from standing the entire 2 hours, but it was worth it. U2 did put on a great show. My boyfriend was not a fan, but I think he is now. I only wish I would have had a view without the arch. Oh yeah, when One is performed get your souvenirs together it will soon be time to go.
I waited five years to see U2 and it was worth the wait. I recommend everyone check it out. If tickets were not so expensive I'd go again.
