Well what can I say? The concert last night was my first experience of seeing U2 live. I loved the feeling of the crowd getting to their feet early when "elevation" was starting to play over the sound system. Bono seemed to be in great spirits last night. His interaction with the crowd was quite often(He even went to the crowd at the back and gave them some of his time quite often.) Highlights for me were as following: I loved the response U2 got from the crowd when "sunday bloody sunday" and "where the streets.." started up. The BIGGEST high for me though was when I heard Edge ripping into the opening of "pride" GOD I love that song!! I was soooo happy they put it in(it also feels so extra special that I was present during a serious change to the tour). Other highlights for me were when Bono danced with the girls(1.one little girl early in the show,2.a lady whom I later found out was his wife,3.and another teenage girl), when he played paper, rock, scissors, and when he had a little speech mentioning about how Canada had been with them since the beginning, and for that he thanked us(this got the crowd roaring even more).
There are sooo many highlights to my first experience seeing them live, but this was what really stuck out.
To U2 thank you for such a wonderful display of what you do best:rock n'roll. Thank you for making April 10th in Calgary a beautiful day for me. All the best for the rest of the tour. You've got the job, always have, always will.
