U2 is bankrupting the English language of its superlatives. This show was proof of that as they started things off with even more energy than the four previous tours: Love and Peace or Else, Vertigo, Elevation and Electric Co. were furious and passionate, and I started to see, for the first time, Denver's usually apathetic audience reach back to its Red Rock glory days of frenzy. U2 worked us all night, capping it with 40 at the end. To still make us sing this song, with the house lights up and through the hallways as we leave (at The Pepsi Center of all places!), is nothing short of miraculous. Words don't do it justice.
