Through the eyes of a child. My 14th U2 show was a different kind of highlight for me. I took my sons, 10 and 7. What a trip. These boys are real U2 fans, how could they not be with me in the house, but nothing could have prepared me for the thrill of watching this show through their eyes. From the GA ticket line (are these fans the greatest or what?) to the Elipse lottery being a highlight (My 10 year old had his legs, arms fingers and EYES crossed for good luck) alas we did not get VERTIGO'd until someone from the tour spotted the guys and let us in!
They really had no idea what to expect. Bono 10 feet away truly blew them away. My oldest simply hopped up and down for 2 hours. I must say i don't remember a ton of the highlights of the show, but we sure made a generational memory that I will never forget.
Thank you Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam for a lifetime of music, now passed on to a new generation. And thank you to all you fellow bomb shelterers for your wonderful treatment helping my guys see and have access. This band is the greatest in the world, and has the best fans in the world!
I Can't Make It On My Own -
Don
