Well, this is my 4th and final show of this tour and 13th overall since the War tour. Tonight was a special night. I would be taking my younger brother to the show as an early high school graduation present. This would be the first real rock concert he has ever been to. I had gotten him into U2 over the years so I new this would be special. We met him at Georgia Tech were he had been for an academic competition. He had no idea that I would be there to pick him up. We went back to the hotel and I gave him the new U2 dvd and when he opened it he found 2 tickets to that nights show. He was totally surprised. That night we were sitting in the 200 level on the left side of the stage. What can I say that hasn't been said before City of Blinding Lights is hands down the most beautiful opening song of any concert. There is just something amazing as Edge's intro fades into the begining of the song as the confetti drops, the light curtains come down and Bono appears at the edge of the ellipse. Then the lights flash and the crowd goes nuts. What a show. Singing Happy B-day to Ted Turner, an amazing performance of Miss Sarejevo, Streets blowing the roof off the place and MLK. Then we got the Zoo Tv encore the way it always should have been. From the moment the crowd heard the intro to UTEOTW they went crazy. Then ending the show with Bad with a little People Have the Power thrown in. My brother was simply blown away. He didn't know some of the songs but he didn't care. It was great to experience this with him and a wonderful way to end my time on this tour.
