This concert really blew my mind. Not necessarily because the setlist was a little different from the last time I saw them in Columbus, OH, but because the band was having so much more FUN!!! The only thing I really missed was Edge's karaoke routine, but I'll take Sunday Bloody Sunday over that any day. By the way, SBS wasn't performed acoustically. Edge took one of his electric guitars (the yellow Gibson, I think) out on the b-stage and sang his heart out. It's amazing how much power the song retains when done with only one guitar and one voice and with a much slower tempo. Until The End Of The World was the highlight of the show for me. Bono and Edge's cat and mouse routine was hilarious.
Another great moment was after Where The Streets Have No Name. Bono saw a fan with the Fly glasses in the crowd, took them from him, and put them on! It was such a shock. He proceeded to mumble a few lines from The Fly, I think. (It was hard to tell because his microphone malfunctioned several times during the show). Please, Streets, All I Want Is You, and Last Night On Earth were outstanding. With Or Without You was, as usual, unbelievably good. The whole band smiled and joked with each other throughout the show. Probably since it was Larry's birthday and Halloween. The acoustics were kind of bad at times, but overall the show was outstanding. The band made up for it with their energy and obvious enjoyment of the songs, as usual.
Can't wait till St. Louis on Nov. 8th!!!!!!!!!!
