This is my 3rd and final Vertigo show (all GA's) and I have to say it was the least eventful compared to the night before in St. Louis (ranked 1) and Chicago (ranked 2) on the first leg.

It is absolutely heartbreaking not getting inside the ellipse. After all these years its of being member or propaganda/U2.com it is so upsetting not having a single one of my tickets get scanned to get in the ellipse. I seriously hope U2 rethinks the policy on getting into the ellipse for the next tour. Thankfully the night before in St. Louis, one of my brother’s tickets got our group of 4 in!

After I accepted the fact I would be watching the show like all the other sardines packed in the GA, Kanye West took the stage. I don't care for him. Glad to see he was booed in St. Louis. Omaha had some boos, but far fewer than the night before. I think people only like him or claim to say he is a genius or whatever only because of what he said about Pres. Bush.

U2 took the stage and the Qwest Center went crazy. I have seen many shows through the years and to see the reaction on peoples faces I am sure have never seen them before is priceless. The band sounded great. I thought Bono’s voice was really scratchy sounding the first few songs and was worried he would struggle all night. His voice got better and sounded great toward the end of the show. With Or Without you was probably the best I have heard in person. Bono pulled some girl up on stage like the night before and knelt down on his knees and put his head on her belly for half the song. He nailed the OOOOHHHH part at the end and sounded a lot like the days of Zoo TV.

Other highlights were the girl pumping her fist to Sunday Bloody Sunday. She seemed a little older than the boys/girls he has pulled up in the past. Maybe 11 or 12?

Miss Sarajevo was amazing. Bono explained pretty well what the song was about and had the whole crowd silent during the song, then a massive eruption of cheers during the Pavarotti part.

Other observations, the ellipse didn’t get used as much. The set list only had 2 changes from the night before. I Will Follow and Crumbs, which Bono forgot the “Where you live” verse to but added to acoustically by himself a la Kite - Elevation tour style.

All in all it was still an amazing way for me to close out my 20’s. Today’s my birthday. I am now 30 and look forward to a possible stadium tour in KC this summer?
