My seventh show on this tour. The setlist was considerably more varied on the first leg--what an opportunity to hear An Cat Dubh and Running to Stand Still. The Portland setlist was extraordinarily predictable... but not complaints actually.
Bono was in good form, smiling a lot and the crowd was intense. It helps to have a good spot for the show. I was up close on the outside of the ellipse.
This show had classic U2 energy, which overwhelmed the predictability of the setlist. U2 have certainly mastered the art of "show."
That said, U2 will slip into nostalgia-band status if they don't change things up next time around.
