Hubby Dave and I drove from St. Louis, MO to Chicago-- 330 + miles to U2 360 was wrote across our Jeep's back windows.
Got in line at 11am on Saturday, and after six grueling hours in the Chicago downtown sun and forgetting our sunblock (got a little red...)-- at 5pm the gates opened and let the GA line in by groups of about 200 at a time.
Another two hours until Snow Patrol took stage... argh the wait was too much to handle once I realized how great a view we had from our spot in the inner circle between the main stage and the cat walk was. We were on The Edge's side of the stage just to the left of the moving bridge before it would move that is...
U2 finally took stage and I got a good pic of Larry going up the steps. U2 amazed me as always just like they did the first time I ever saw them live at ASU during the Zoo TV tour. Biggest highlights of the show "Bad", ".......Crazy Tonight", and "Ultraviolet". Biggest disappointment was no "Mysterious Ways" on the 12th being I have been taking belly dance lessons for almost 2 1/2 years now and had my banner ready stating "Belly Dancer has a Weakness for Bono ! Please Dance With Me !" all ready to hold up in hopes of a little dance with my fave B-man !
Here's hoping to 2010 and U2 coming to St. Louis, or returning to Chicago or someplace close to me again !!! PLEASE come to St. Louis, and PLEASE play "Mysterious Ways" for this BoNo FReaK.
Love and Peace,
Sherry Underdown
