U2 played a wonderful concert to a great passionate Italian crowd. I felt privileged to be in the audience to hear and see the fan response to all of the songs. Bono truly had an overwhelming reaction to the fan choreography which displayed the Italian Flag and the Ireland Flag and the word ONE. He stopped singing and had his hand over his heart. He was so emotionally moved he truly stopped to enjoy the moment. U2 rewarded the fans for their love by singing BAD/All I Want is You after I still Haven't Found... Bono said after he sang BAD "that was for YOU". I was so excited to hear it and the snippet! Every second was truly enjoyed. Each song was welcomed by everyone as people clapped and sang very loudly except for Mercy. However, Mercy had loud cheers and claps after it was played. Hold Me, Thrill Me...was great too. First time I heard it live. It fit perfectly in this setting and Bono sang it really well. I can't express enough how passionate the Italian fans were. They really appreciated U2. For me it will always be the best crowd. I live in Los Angeles and this trip was the right decision to enjoy U2 after the fabulous Rose Bowl concert. I must say this concert in Rome was far superior to the Rose Bowl in passion and love between fans and the band. The addition of Bad with the snippet of All I Want is You, and Mercy made it number one for me so far of the 6 concerts I have seen this tour.
