Here I sit, back from night number two, still trying to figure out what the heck to say. My ears a ringing, they might be bleeding, I don't know... and its not useless ringing. Its the ringing of the memories I just made; of the memories U2 just gave me. My ears are ringing to the tune of "Bad," and I don't ever want it to stop. I have salt-stained cheeks from when I cried the second I heard the first note. I could not believe I was getting my wish: Bad. I didn't think it was going to happen, and then it did. People all around me were in awe, I really don't think anyone expexted the boys to play it... we're gonna end with Yaweh and 40 and we were all more than satisfied with that ending. Then you hear those notes and it takes your breath away.
I have to admit, there was a much different atmosphere tonight than last night. But they sounded awesome, even when they messed up a bit on Wild Horses... Its all great because its real. And it all makes you feel intense emotion regardless... And the crowd? So loud I had to stop and look all around at everyone singing together, it was magnetic; unimaginable that my little hoarse voice was mixed in somewhere in all of that....
Once again, Bono and the Boys gave me a show I will never forget. They continue to be my muse, my catalyst, my jump start to introspection... And by the off chance one of the Boys happens to log on to this site just for the heck of it: Bono said "thanks for giving us a great life." Well, Thank you , U2, for making much of mine so memorable.
