Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! That is how I describe last night's show at Staples. I was sitting in section 118 just 10 feet from the stage. It is the closest I have ever been to the stage for a U2 concert. It was incredible! After seeing the group back in April at the Pond, it seemed like Bono and the boys had a lot more energy and were into the show from the get go. Opening with Elevation with the house lights on has become a great opening on a great tour.
Overall, the majority of the setlist is the same as the 2nd leg, with a few songs being changed each night. I was glad to see them play Wild Honey (acoustic)and I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. One of my favorite all time U2 songs, Bad, was left off the setlist tonight, but overall, the setlist mixed a good amount of new and old songs. I would like them to bring back Sweetest Thing and With or Without You.
The only disapointment I continue to have with the boys is that their show is less than 2 hours (1 hour 50 minutes last night). But it is not the length of the show that counts, it's the content, and they sure did not disapoint.
See you all at Staples on the 19th.
