U2 Tours (formerly part of AtU2): A Comprehensive Guide To U2’s Live Performance History

The Tempe show was the best show I've ever seen (if not, definitely top five). My friend and I were able to get onto the floor and were able to get to the front row for Rage. Musically, there were quite intense. They looked just like normal guys! They like to use the F- word.

Because of reading on the 'Net, I knew that the members of U2 would be entering from the back of the stadium onto the B stage. I stationed myself right where the stairs were and when they ran by, I touched Larry and patted Bono on the Back.

Unlike the first few shows, the new songs were performed well with much energy. The "drive-in" show was cool. I did miss Lara from Tomb Raider though. She wasn't there anymore.

BEST SONGS: All the old stuff sounded great, esp. PRIDE, ONE, STILL HAVEN'T FOUND... Hold me, Kill me was the great surprise of the show. This is not my favorite U2 song but it sounded great!

WORST SONGS: Miami (one of my favorite on the album) Bono's poor Charlie Chaplin stage identity is super cheesy and it just didn't sound good. If God Will Send His Angels sounded poor as well. Edge must have forgotten what he played on the album because his part didn't sound remotely familiar and didn't seem to match the vocals.

COOLEST MOMENTS: When I gave Larry the thumbs up on the B stage and he smiled at me. The Bono/Bat symbols before HOLD ME. The jet fighter cartoon during BULLET...

CHEESY MOMENTS: MIAMI, the specially detailed crotch bubbles on Bono's black bubble pants, and the fat naked belly dancer.

SPOKEN COMMENTS: "We are home. We're home."
"We made a movie here. Then we brought the TV's. Now we brought the whole drive in."
"How's (name of old governor) doing. Keep an eye on him. He's a good old boy."
"I guess this really is God's countrT
MO2
"This is church. Forget the religion..."
