Wow - it was a night I would never forget. The cold winds of winter were already coming down the mountians of Pennsylvania when the slow drone of "Streets" began. Such energy flying from the stage, it was like nothing I had experienced. I'll never forget Bono, despite his famous broken wing, pulling away his sling to play "People Get Ready". Then in the ultimate interaction of a band and it's audience, pulled a fan onstage to help him play. Sure - this was the norm on the Joshua Tree tour, but it was a way that the whole crowd could be up there to. The amazing "Bad" - still shimmering from its airing at Live Aid, pulling the audience deeper and deeper into the well. This was Bono at his finest.
The winning moment was the delivery of "Pride" - did the song still work with the band of the Joshua Tree? yes, and all the better. Finally "With Or Without You" and "40" echoing on into the valley of Three Rivers, there was nothing like it.
Thanks to my friends the McCluskys, for letting me go along for such a fantastic evening. It was all that I won't leave behind!

PS- Los Lobos is a fantastic live band!
