U2 was wonderful. They played Desire, Sunday Bloody Sunday, and part of Wake Up Dead Man. We got to stand at the tip of the catwalk up against the gate. It was great to be that close to U2. We met a nice couple from California and sister mofo too.
I had a cowboy hat that had POP on it and I threw it up on the stage but Bono didn't see it, so security gave it back to me. When U2 was playing at the end of the catwalk I called the Edges name and he looked over at the sign Shawn had that said "Edge sing the magic tune." Bono pulled two people on stage. During Bullet the Blue Sky he pulled up a guy who was dressed up as MacPhisto. He really played along with it well. Bono traded him his hat and jacket for his horns and gold jacket. During If You Wear That Velvet Dress Bono pulled up a girl with a velvet dress.
I'm so glad they played Sunday Bloody Sunday and Desire because those are my favorite songs. After the show we waited outside the stadium for U2. Security said they already left. We waited for awhile and then we went to the Ritz Carlton and they said they already checked out. We waited for a couple hours then we went home. I didn't have a chance to give them the card I had for them. I didn't get an autograph either. Maybe next time. I got to shake hands with Bono and the Edge in Chicago and they seem like very kind people.
I can't wait until the next time I see U2. I could watch them over and over. It is so exciting to listen and watch them in action. Here's to U2 - the greatest band of Pop music.
"Is it like a tape recorder? Can we rewind it just once more?"
