Great night, but...
U2 always deliver, even through the rain and cold wind. Tonight we didn't get Bono at his most "Bono-ish", he complained early about the sound ("more drums!" in NLOTH) and he stumbled with the words when addressing the crowd. A rather peculiar moment. It looked like there was something on Bono's mind troubling him from deliver his best. The Edge also looked so serious, i missed more smiles from this wonderful man. In spite of all this, Bono thanked the crowd for "an amazing night" and he looked truly touched at the response from the audience as MOS ended. We all knew the second night would be much better, some times this show almost felt like a rehearsal for tomorrow night.
Best moment: Get On Your Boots, Crazy Tonight (remix) and Ultra Violet.
Biggest disappointments: Un Fire; the arrangement, especially the drums (with TAMBOURIN during the chorus!) made this song a total let-down for me and of course Pride and WOWY (how long to sing these songs????)
