I think people are ridiculous to think the band should play particular songs and not others. U2 has been one of the best bands and more consistantly, over more time than almost any others!!!!! Let them play what they want, there are tons of great songs to pick form.
I thought that the show ROCKED!
Bono is amazing to have that much energy, and contrary\to the review by "B." he totally was feeling Philly and I think that was genuine. ALL of the band was on and I loved the drums at the very end before the waving goodbye. So sorry if anyone misse the encore, they were incredible.
One more thing, don't knock the political forum, it is what they have always been about. How do you sing "no war" w/o politics and activism. This is EXACTLY what we need. Art is the perfect medium to communicate truth. Always has been, and will be. I think U2 is respectful and about it, and right-on. There is plenty of mindless meaningless entertainment out there if that is what you want. U2 is more than that.
I'm jealous of those of you going back tonight. Enjoy.....
