On Thursday, June 12th, Winnipeg was ready to welcome the greatest rock band in the world. It was the Canadian debut for Popmart and despite a very good performance from the boys, 45,000 fans could not be happier. The weather was perfect along with a beautiful sunset just as the show was about to begin at Winnipeg Stadium. Bono belted out the opening line of Mofo at 9:50pm. I had 10th row on the floor and I don't care what others might say about the poor audience, the fans were sure rockin'on the floor. Edge had the flu during the show and did not have as much energy as previous shows. Bono had done his homework when he mention the Red River Flood during ISHFWILF and surprised alot of people. The show was pretty impressive and the newspapers and TV stations gave great reviews. The giant TV screen was massive and exploding with colors and images. After the show, Bono, Larry, Adam, and Howie B were interviewed by Kim Clarke Champniss from MuchMusic at the Winnipeg Arena. Edge was bowed out. Over all the show was awesome and I hope U2 will come back! 4 of out 5 stars.
