U2 has performed 1 times in Aston University. Those performances included unique songs and an overall total of 14 songs.
Aston University is located in Aston, England
Little is known about the long defunct venue played on the sprawling campus at Aston University in the heart of Birmingham, in the centre of England, though it is known that U2 played the Triangle Media and Arts Centre which was the only venue at the time of their show on the Boy tour in November 1980.
The Triangle was located in Gosta Green right in the middle of Aston University and the Birmingham Institute for Art & Design. It housed the fabled experimental Arts Lab group, members of whom would go on to create great things in Theatre and Audio Visual disciplines. It also housed the wonderful and much missed Triangle Cinema but it was as a live music venue that it was probably best known.
The Triangle demise came about in the 1990's, and little is known about the venue but this video made in the laater days of the venues existence reveals some insight.
