Comments: Bono appears to lose his voice early during "Red Flag Day." He apologizes after the song, and thanks the audience for singing much of the song as he struggled. After speaking to the crowd, Bono tells the band to continue on to the next song, "Beautiful Day," but he ends up speaking most of the lyrics. Afterward, Bono says he needs to take a break and leave the stage to see if he can get his voice back. About 40 minutes later, an announcement is made from the stage that the rest of the show is canceled.

While fans fear the worst, good news arrives less than 24 hours later: Bono has been assured by a doctor that nothing serious has happened, and with medicine he'll be able to resume the tour without having to cancel any more shows. U2 announces that they'll return to Berlin on November 13 to make up for tonight's abbreviated show.
