So what's the saying 3rd time is a charm? Well for me it was the 4th show that was charmed. Not only was the show amazing, myself and some others got to meet the band out back of the arena.
I was pretty close to the floor on this one but back a ways. The sound was excellent from where I was, and even though this was a small arena it was a good place to see U2. The highlights for me on this show was the guy that got pulled up on stage for "knockin on heavens door" (you are soooo lucky, but so cool), when they played streets, and on "One" with the names of the victims on Sept. 11th plane crashes showing on the screen. The down side was not hearing "Bad" but to their credit they gave a good variety songs. "Peace on Earth" seemed a little off to me, I think they should have played the whole thing.
After seeing the guys now for 4 shows this tour I can say I have caught up from the many years of missing their shows since Joshua Tree.
To the two girls I met outside waiting to get autographs, Beth (NC) and Barbara (NJ), thanks for the company for that day, for swapping pictures, I will send you pictures from the show. Thanks for just being so cool. We got to meet the band!!! Hope the guys consider a few more shows in the states, preferably in the south so I don't have to drive so far again. Godspeed - Daniel
