Tonight's show in Charlotte was our 3rd during this tour, and another fantastic experience. Highlights of the show were Gloria, Original of the Species, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, Miss Sarajevo, and Until the End of the World. These were the songs that "stuck out" because they were either beautiful vocally or entirely electrifying. The music brought on tears on several occasions...tears of joy, awe, gratitude, and also sadness that this would be our last U2 concert this tour.
Our GA line experience was one of our best yet.... We enjoyed meeting and chatting with Cyndi and Dave and Karen, and sharing umbrellas with Kristie and Bobby. You all were the greatest! Jake...great job with the line...it stinks that you weren't in the ellipse. It was fun to meet Stephanie and Matt (we'll get those pictures to you) and Patrick and Jeni.
It's hard to believe Vertigo '05 is over for us...it's been awesome. Thank you, U2, for great memories and all the ways you make our lives better. I just pray the next tour isn't another 4 years away! :)
