Last night's concert at the Frank Erwin Center was awesome! Kudos to U2 for choosing No Doubt to warm up the crowd for them. No Doubt was full of energy and had a blast entertaining the crowd.
Bono & Co. elevated the stage close to 9 and played the usual set list which included acoustic versions of Wild Honey/Please. No surprises for Austin (no Out of Control or Party Girl).
Highlights of the show for me include:
Bono gently hugging an American flag and a Texas state flag together. Having a fan hold the lyric sheets for Wild Honey/Please and commenting that they have entered the 'Old Rock 'N Roller's Club'. Bono dedicating Kite to his father. Scrolling the names of the victims from 9/11 and hearing Bono sing, "These are my sisters, these are my brothers" during One.
Thank you U2 for elevating our souls!
