Well... How can you describe something like what these 4 guys bring to many towns night after night? I last saw U2 on the Joshua Tree - in the same building, University of Texas' Frank Erwin Center - then, I was 4th row. I stood jaw hangin all night, got the set list off the stage at the end - and amazingly enough, met the band after the show. So, I thought I had "been to the mountain" I disregarded several chances to see them between then and now... The 11/5/01 show in Austin took me to places that I had visited briefly in 1987. This current tour from U2 is one of the most amazing things I've seen in my 20 years of attending concerts. They opened - house lights n all - with Elevation, then they go out, followed by Beautiful Day, and classic after classic... During "New York" the crowd was exceptionally repsonsive to Bono's added "even Texas loves New York" line. The crowd vibe was great too, lots of undiscriminating people everywhere. I was at the tip of the heart all night. I have posted photos I took at http://communities.msn.com/rawtime/ just click on "photos" - Love your opinion... Also see my website if ya have the time... http://www.rawtime.com
