Tuesday evening, 18 years ago, was my first u2 show. Saw them 2 nights in a row november 87 in minneapolis. So for old times sake going to both vancouver shows. Last night was magical. Our seats were in section 304, slightly behind the stage. We had a great view of the whole show so if you have tickets in these areas you won't be disappointed. Only regret-wish we had taken our binoculars.
Some random thoughts-vancouver lived up to its reputation for beautiful women. The sound was good, although I think early on there were problems hearing bono. Loved hearing gloria, bad, the achtung encore. Very cool when bono brought the woman up who's sign said- 'Just got rid of my wheelchair, will you dance with me?'. Bono admonished Paul Martin and gave out his phone number but the key point he made was that Martin is a good man. I hope people remember that.
I told my brother that the only thing better than seeing the best band of all time is to see the best band of all time 2 nights in a row. Tonight we will be in the GA area. With a little luck we'll get into the inner circle.
U2, thank you for 25 great years and a fantastic show. See you tonight!
