I remember being broke, but, DARN IT, I had to see U2 up close. Still have ticket stub in my wallet. Floor, Section A-1 row 6. I could see Bono's sweat! Face value $19.50 but paid a scalper $200.00. Well worth every penny.
Watching the backdrop of the Joshua Tree and the band take center stage still brings tears/chills down my spine. An unbelievable show. As of now, I have travelled the world for this band. Can never thank them enough for their music and inspiration.
The Pretenders were good. Had seen them while attending UCSB when they thanked "San Diego" instead of "Santa Barbara".
