Comments: U2 open their Lovetown tour to an very enthusiastic audience in Perth. B.B. King comes along on tour to not only to be the opening act but to also join the band during several songs every night. Australian band Weddings Parties Anything are an added warm up band for all the Australian and Japanese dates on the tour.

Several Rattle And Hum songs make their live debuts. "Desire", "All I Want Is You", "God Part II" and "Hawkmoon 269", which opens the show, are all performed for the first time. "Hawkmoon 269" will end up opening 7 Lovetown shows and has not been played again since.

Bono brings a fan named Stuart on stage to play guitar during "People Get Ready." (You can read his review here.)

Later, B.B. King's band will join U2 on stage for the encore performances of "Angel Of Harlem", "When Love Comes To Town" and "Love Rescue Me", with B.B. joining in for the latter two songs. B.B. and his band will join U2 for these 3 songs on every night of the tour.
