The best U2 concert I've attended.
Tonight everything just seemed to flow. Pride isn't one of my live favourites, but when it blasted out instead of the now tiresome Bloody Sunday, it just clicked.
I Will Follow was a great choice in the beginning, even though Out of Control or Electric co. would have been even more awesome. But the point is that while this wasn't the ideal setlist, it was one that created a pitch-perfect emotional flow.
Every Breaking Wave didn't sound as astonishing as North Star, but to hear a U2 song first time ever in a concert... Wow. Acoustic No Line was also a great treat.
This was a highly emotional and energetic party from the start to the end. Miles better than the one day before. Magical. Even the rain seemed to start and stop in just the right moments. Bono declaring the band as the four brothers had us cracking up.
Still not quite sure though if Moment of Surrender is the right song to close a show. But of course, tonight it was followed by Singing in the Rain, which was a classic moment.
If only they would have played Ultra Violet after Hold Me, Thrill Me...
