U2 in Chicago! The Popmart Tour delivered the greatest concert I have ever seen. I travelled into Chicago from Toronto, Canada, because I wanted to catch the concert before Larry and the boys went to Europe. The stage set up was great, with that Lemon ball being the coolest thing I had ever seen, especially when the band ventured out of it to do their encore.
The set list was great, too bad they did not play Sunday Bloody Sunday. They made up for it with I Will Follow, and New Year's Day (their old stuff is great, eh?) The crowd was totally crazy for New Year's Day, and the karaoke (Daydream Believer) was great, and the crowd responded really well. Got hooked onto Last night on Earth and Miami after hearing them live. With or Without You is still the greatest song ever recorded, and performed live.
Larry is still the coolest mofo around. Adam keeps getting more hip every time I see him, Edge is solid and Bono is Da Man. (Da Bears should offer him a job to coach that team).
Cannot wait to see U2 in Toronto, on October 26 and 27.
