Unbelievable Show!!! We were in the 308 upper deck and the lights were mesmerizing. The most unbelievable thing of all was when they played BAD! I loved VERTIGO as the opener - powerful. Also love how they mixed up the set and "Until the End of the World" debuted here - incredible performance. Bono's performance of "Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own" was another highlight - my friend had never heard it and fell in love with the song. This setlist and the performance could not have been more perfect - all my favorites - Gloria, Elevation, Streets, With or Without You, Sunday Bloody Sunday and best of all Bad as the closer!
My daughter and I were in Seattle 4/24 and in the front row in the ellipse - the girl Bono pulled onstage during WOWY last night was standing right where I was! Regardless, it was an incredible experience from the upper deck - you can't really see the lights up close.
This is my second show and I almost didn't make it. I live in Minneapolis and was in Chicago for business and the person attending with me got sick but a co-worker I just met was able to go at the last minute so I didn't have to go alone.
I must be one of the few that loves Kings of Leon - I admit it's hard to decipher the lyrics live but love the energy! I even went out and bought their CD after seeing them in Seattle.
Thanks U2 for a night I will never forget!
