The Half Moon hosted live music inside of its historic structure since the early 1970's until flooding closed it in 2013. It has featured up and coming acts such as the Police and U2 on its stage and lagend has it that Frank Sinatra performed a few songs while visiting his ex-wife's former chauffeur.

The Half Moon is scheduled to reopen in 2016, although it is unlikely that it will operate as a music venue when it does.
