Polly Jean "PJ" Harvey is an English singer-songwriter and composer as well as a musician. She is the recipient of the Mercury Prize for the albums "Stories From The City, Stories From The City" (2000) and "Let England Shake" (2011). Rolling Stone named "Stories From The City, Stories From The City" as one of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. She was awarded an MBE in June 2013 for music. She counts James Joyce and T.S. Eliot among others who have influenced her as a lyricist.
