The stadium opened in 1966 and has been home to the Angels baseball team ever since. It was renovated to add seating all of the way around the field to accomodate the NFL Rams and again renovated to remove the upper level seating from beyond the outfield when the football team left. U2 has played at this stadium with and without the extra seating.
